I recognize that these are shorthand ways of describing a game.
The ROMs I have for VPinMAME are zipped folders, named as an example, aar_101, aavenger, abv106, and so on. The end result is a set of orderly and intelligently named ROMs as well as an easy means to obtain associated artwork for each game. I also have a number of ROMs for Virtual Pinball.įor my MAME games, I can use Don's HyperSpin Tools to match files to an XML, and then rename that file to a naming convention which HyperSpin recognizes and can then sync to artwork. For my cabinet front-end, I use HyperSpin I downloaded VPX, and VPinMAME and all the systems necessary as far as I'm aware. I would like to add Visual Pinball to my MAME cabinet. I'm afraid I may be asking a super simple question, but I really am perplexed.
